Curriculum Vitae & Service
In addition to my teaching and research, I am proud to serve my community, profession, and state. I currently serve as a commissioner on the 2020 Citizens Redistricting Commission for the state of California, tasked with redrawing district lines for Congress, the state legislature and the board of equalization.
I hold appointments as a senior researcher at AAPI Data, a faculty fellow at the USC Schwarzenegger Institute for State and Global Policy, and an advisory board member of the Kamala Harris Project.
I also serve as member of the executive council for the Western Political Science Association, as a part of the American Political Science Association’s President’s Taskforce examining issues of systemic inequality in the discipline in graduate training and graduate student experiences, and on the incoming editorial board of the Journal of Elections, Public Opinion, and Parties.
